Albert Capellas joins Dinamo Zagreb as Director of Football and Head of Youth Development Programs!
The former Barça Head of Methodology brings over three decades of experience to Maksimir, having worked across all levels of the game from youth development to national teams. A Cruyff minded coach in every sense, Capellas spent 12 years at Barça and has held key roles at FC Midtjylland, Denmark U21, Borussia Dortmund, Brøndby, Vitesse, and most recently as Head Coach of the Philippine national team.
At Dinamo, he will lead a long term project focused on laying strong foundations and shaping a first team built around as many homegrown players as possible, all carrying the GNK Dinamo DNA.
“Although his football DNA is shaped by Barça, he brings global experience and shares a deep belief in collective goals and the power of identity, values shared by both Dinamo and Barça.”

Through sessions on Football Management, Leadership, and Sports Marketing with Cruyff Institute, and the Coach Certification Level 1 with Cruyff Football, the students immersed themselves in Johan Cruyff’s football vision.
They also visited top clubs including @fcbarcelona , @rcdespanyol , @gironafc , and our own @cruyfffootball facilities.
